If you are looking for a new homes sale job we hope the following information will help you.
Working in sales in the new homes industry is one of the most rewarding and satisfying sales jobs going. Unlike selling a TV or carpet you are trying to help someone fulfill a dream, whether it's getting on the housing ladder and buying their first home or helping someone who has just retired and is downsizing and looking for a safe and secure home to spend the rest of their life in.
Weekend work is to be expected and the new homes sales advisor must be happy to be working when most other people are enjoying their days off, bank holidays and royal weddings included. The upside of this is that when the majority are working the new home sales man or woman is not at work and can avoid the weekend rush to get the shopping in etc.
However, to be successful, a new homes sales advisor must be good at sales. Fairly obvious but it's not just a case of "turning up" and waiting for the customers to arrive, open cheque book in hand. The sales skills are more subtle and deeper than those required when selling in another industry. The purchase about to be made is probably the largest the customer has ever made, or will make in their lives.
More about sales techniques will be added to this site in due course and if you are currently involved selling new homes please add your views, hints and tips below.
